About Us

Amber R.I.S.E. is a Domestic Violence Safe Home for women, their children and single women who have experienced or are experiencing domestic violence. We will be providing pet accommodations for those affected by dv who have animals.
We unfortunately do not house homeless women, but we can provide other resources for those situations.

Domestic Violence (DV) does not stop just because there is no support. It is always best practice to safely plan with someone whom you understand to be affected by domestic violence. Each relationship is different therefore; every abuse will be different. Be a safety net to that person by not telling them, "Why don't you just leave?" It is not always as easy as it looks to leave. A safety plan is key.

Domestic violence is a pervasive and devastating problem that affects individuals and families around the world. According to the World Health Organization, one in three women globally have experienced physical or sexual violence at the hands of an intimate partner. In the United States, the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence reports the staggering statistics that one in four women and one in nine men have experienced severe physical violence, sexual violence, or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime. Domestic violence can take many forms, including physical, emotional, and financial abuse, and can have long-lasting and sometimes fatal consequences.

Despite the prevalence of domestic violence, it remains a largely underreported and often misunderstood issue. Many survivors feel ashamed or afraid to speak out about their experiences, and cultural and social norms often perpetuate myths and misconceptions about domestic violence. It is essential that we work together to raise awareness about the issue and support survivors in seeking safety and healing. By providing comprehensive support services and advocating for policy changes that address the root causes of domestic violence, we can work towards creating a society where everyone can live free from violence and abuse.

Who We Are

Amber R.I.S.E. was built out of the COVID-19 pandemic. As I watched the many women having to return home to their situation due to lack of safe refuge or availability with other shelters, I wanted to get more involved than I already was. As the years would bring more to be abused, it was heartbreaking to get calls only to turn them away. I want to be an added resource to the community and I felt establishing Amber R.I.S.E., a DV Safe Home, would be a good start.

Comprehensive Support Services

Amber R.I.S.E. provides a range of support services to survivors of domestic violence, including counseling, legal assistance, emergency shelter, and job training. Our services are designed to help survivors rebuild their lives and gain the skills and resources they need to achieve independence and self-sufficiency.

Survivor-Centered Approach

At Amber R.I.S.E., we believe that survivors are the experts of their own experiences. We take a survivor-centered approach to our work, meaning that we listen to survivors' needs and preferences and work collaboratively with them to develop personalized plans for their healing and empowerment. To treat them with dignity and respect.

Holistic Healing

We understand that healing from domestic violence is a complex and ongoing process that requires support in multiple areas of life. That's why we take a holistic approach to healing, addressing survivors' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Community Partnerships

Amber R.I.S.E. recognizes that we cannot do this work alone. We are looking to partner with a range of community organizations and agencies to provide survivors with comprehensive support and resources.
